Not counting the GT3, has anyone ever seen a 996 w/o a sunroof??

Never a NA 996. I have seen the 996 Turbo without a sunroof. On the options list, there is no option for a sun roof delete, while there is one for the turbo.

Yes, the car I initially ordered was sunroof delete, '03 C2. I changed my mind when it came in and bought a C4S instead. It's out there someplace.

I have only heard of them. The first one I ever saw was the picture of Spider's car above...I think it kind of looks kool.

Yea, as others have said they do exist, I tried to locate one for a customer once......called at least 200 porsche dealers on top of searching the net and looking into wholesale connections I have..

I'm now wishing I had a sunroof delete, though I'm not changing cars. I wonder what the difficulty is in selling one later, even thouugh you're looking for one. I've heard of replacing the sunroof with a carbon fiber insert for weight reduction, then I guess you could return the sunroof when selling?

Ive seen it on a 996 before. I think it was a 2001' model.

I was looking for one before I bought mine, its rare but out there.
