I know all the other issues between the two, BUT-What drops it lower, H&R coilovers or H&R springs

Also i may be able to get my hands on springs from a turbo, will they work and if so how much will they lower it??

Turbo springs will not work. They are heavier, to deal with the increased weight in the back end from the turbos and the front end for the front diff. Some coilover manuf use the same set up for C4 and turbo, but not for a C2.

As for what gets you lower. Well you can get H&R springs, cut them, and be dragging on the floor. If you want to do it right, then coiliovers as you can adjust the height to the lowest possible setting, which leaves you very little room. Further, some coilovers go lower than others. Any reason for the focus on H&R?

I am down about 2 inchs in these photos.

Turbo spring will only fit a C4, and given the weight difference of a turbo it will not work great on a C4. I also think that a turbo is the same height as a C4. As far as height the H&R spring lower 1.25 inches and the coilover can be adjusted between 1to 2 inches. So if ultimate low is what you are goning for then get coilovers.

Coilovers give you adjustment to change the ride height to your driving needs. I would get springs for a daily driver and JIC for racing. Skip the H&R and skip the Pss9. The JIC gives you adj ride height, 16 way dampening, and adjustable front camber plates. Neither of the other 2 do.

Either way, coilovers will give you more drop control. Springs are fixed.

I have had two dampers fail (leak is an understatement - these pretty much self-destructed) in the last six months. The first one had almost 60,000 miles on it, but the latest one had less than 3,000 miles on it. These failures in and of themselves aren't enough to write off a manufacturer however, it was the incredibly poor customer service that drove me nuts. To make a very, very long story short, they screwed up at every possible opportunity. A simple warranty replacement (even though it's not that simple - you need to do another alignment) became a lengthy and tedious affair.

Never again. I've been more than patient with those clowns.
