Default Luff Wheels?

Anyone with any comments or experience with theses wheels? There is a set on Ebay (link below):
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...category=43959

Looks pretty good and at a good price. I am looking for something for my 2002 C2. Any info or comments would be appreciated.

The silver ones look good. i'll bet that they are a b*tch to clean. Personally, I never liked the black painted wheels. The seem to disappear against the tires. Some guys spend a lot of money on painted wheels only to have them blend in with the tires.

Tim & Penguin,

I checked out the seller's website and they seem to be reputable. They carry a lot of high end items but the item for sale on ebay is not on their current lineup. I wonder if it is from one of those fly-by-night manufacturers. Like a onetime kind of deal. Yes, the silver ones look great, Tim. Very tempting, fellas.

in light of the recent exposure of wheel failures, i would think twice about putting anything other than OEM / BBS wheels on my car.

I would agree 100% with Tom. Especially when the wheels are only $1500? Sounds a bit shady to me. Not to mention they claim the application is for the 996 and 997. Not a possiblity. Different bolt pattern if I am not mistaken.

I saw them also Luff Wheels are from Taiwan by EVS. They are forged center piece and spun outer rim halves.

I think these are great wheels for the price, even though it's not a popular brand in the US its pretty well known in Asia and Europe.

I heard that there has been some issues with wheels especially the bigger ones like 19 and up. I think a lot of us forget that when the wheels get bigger the rubber actually gets thinner and in translation the ride will be rougher and you will most likely feel the road a lot more. I mean even guys like HRE and Kinesis are having problems. Just my 2 cents

Also be aware they are a one piece wheel, not three piece. I am not saying there is anything wrong with them actually sounds like a good deal.

You are correct, I made a mistake in my previous post stating them as 2pc forged. These Luff M1 are 1pc wheels.

But 1pc wheels are heavier and more prone to bending

Good to know, Vivid. I did call the company...Eurorev and they were friendly on the phone. I asked if the wheels would rub on my 02 C2 with H&R's. He guaranteed that they won't. but told me the max size (width) tire I could mount on the rears were 275's. I was surprised that I would not be able to put at least 285's considering these are 10.5" wheels (rear width). Any comments? Maybe you could clarify this more with your friend, Vivid. BTW, really enjoy the Fabspeed exhaust I recently purchased from you.

I have a C2 slammed running 10.5 in the rear with 295. You wont rub! Call me if you need more info. I can do a great wheel tire combo.

Thanks
