Yes, sad to say I only have a 2 car garage. The Porsche is tough though; especially with a ceramic coating on the exterior paint.

Got my new plates...

And I got rid of this mess...

I love this ride!

I bought it in November from a neighbor and it has a few things to make it right but it's a keeper.

God I love a white Porsche! Did you paint the center console or buy a replacement?

Hi Mike,

No I had the dealership replace all the black plastic and gear shift **** with OE parts. It really detracted from the over all rest of the interior that is in good shape. I think the previous second owner that I bought it from had a child seat and the toddler's feet damaged the center console area! I had an offer of $900 dollars to respray it but I was told by the gentleman that was offering the service that it was subject to the same fate. So why do that?

It looks like a new car again inside to me.

Default Carrera 4S Cabriolet

Nice interior on your White 996. I'm guessing the plastic console may be easier to keep nice than my body-colored console option. Mine's still perfect, but one little scratch of the paint, and it would be immediately evident.

gil,

As long as you don't place a child in the front seat to kick it with his/her feet you should fine

Also gil I get it why you put black floor mats in your car but it's to dark IMHO. I think by the condition of your car that you should be able to handle the factory colored mats!

The lighting can be misleading. The floormats are Porsche dark blue to try to match the midnight blue exterior and console.

That's crazy cool that you could still get new interior trim parts from the dealer.

TechSavvySam,

It is crazy cool. In fact I had this repair done over other issues that need to be addressed because I was so concerned about the availability of these interior parts on such an older car. I still need a major service, motor mounts, coolant expansion tank, rear spoiler actuator, or whatever it's called. So I'm not driving it much. But I should have all the rest done by August if my credit card doesn't start of fire first. It was such a great distraction to the interior for what is over all a very nice example of a 2001 C4. Some of the parts had to come from the warehouse in Germany. Good catch on your part because the comment was a concern of mine too! I also had to replace the rear-view mirror because it was de-laminating along the bottom edge.

FYI I posted these parts on this website but so far no takers.

I bought the headlight cover from a fellow member here. Although see I saw a link/thread here where pelican parts has started to offer them for sale as well.

Did they come that color, or did you need to paint?
