Amigo's I need to change my existing set of tires, I was thinking about the BFGoodrich g-Force T/A KDW-2, I read very good things about them, they look awesome. I was just wondering if anyone had experince good or bad.

Good luck, I was asking around about these a couple months ago and no luck. I had them on the S4 and I thought they were very good. I was ready to go that way again for the p-car, but the harder rubber compound and thus, the unknown track performance made me look elsewhere.

That said, If I didn't have track aspirations, I would have gone with them as they were great in both the wet and dry on the S4.

Whats even better is that on a cost basis, they are almost disposable when compared to the Porsche "approved" tires... (yes, I know, if I spend this on a car, why skimp on the tires, spare me...)

Had a set several years ago not as grippy by a long shot as the KD's but if you aren't tracking the car a good choice as they are much better in the wet.You might consider the Bridgestone SO-3 Pole Positions they are great in the wet and better in the dry than the KDW's

My friend went that route a week before I went S02-A's. After breaking both sets in and sampling each others vehicles, he is the high lateral G screeching jealous one.

I have the kd's and they are completely different than the kdw. KD's are crap in the rain and like to hydroplane at very low speeds with little water on the pavement. KD is basically a cup tire which last a little longer. I have had 10 of them and they are ok but don't seem to be that resilent the older they get- i.e. heat cycling. my fronts feel like crap now and I also have had 3 defective rears with slipped belts. I would get Michelin PS2's if I were you.

I have done quite a bit of research and the one tire that keeps comming up with good marks and commentis from teh owners is the Bridgstone S02-A. When my P-Zero's get doen to the tread indicator, I am going to purchase the S02-A's. If you do a search on S02 on this Forum, you will find a lot of recent comments about the tires. Also ,TireRack has a lot of "owner" comments on most of the tires they carry. FYI.

Bridgestone S02A's (N4) super nice tire. Real sticky. No mentionable noise so far.

I have heard taht the so2a's are nice. I know they are different than the s03's. That said the so3's are garbage. They're extremely heavy and howl like a pig when you start pushing them. They were great in the wet however. I think this is always the pitfall of a tire which is made to be decent in the wet-
BTW they were on my old c43 amg I wouldn't even consider putting them on the P car

I have the BF Goodrich G-force TA/KD on my 924S... they're great. I dunno about the W2 version. my tread pattern is different. I love em.

After much debate, I decided to give the BFGoodrich g-Force T/A KDW-2 a try. My Friend has them and loves them on his C2. The tread looks so awesome, he tells me the handling is excellent in wet/dry. I drove his car this past weekend I thought they were fine. I will report any negative findings. Thanks to all.

I would get the ps2's if I were you. I have yet to hear anything good about that sacrificed performance tire. Get something that is proven good, or do more research. Tire rack has some comparison features with side to side specs you can use.
