Well, not really. But, the 987S front looks surprisingly like the C4S and turbo front.
Atlas Grey is a great color, IMHO. A very dark blue, or Basalt Black with a blue tinge. More like gunmetal.

Thanks for the compliments. Atlas grey came out a little darker than I expected. Funny thing is, I like it better than what I expected .
There are 2 tiny pilot holes in the front bumper. Normally these get drilled out for the plate holders by the dealer. I went to see the car as soon as it was unloaded. I noticed the lack of holes, as you did, Robyn. I simply told them not to drill it. I'll have to figure out a new excuse for the cops. The story about the dog eating the plate holder won't work with this one.
Now comes the true test of restraint. 2,000 miles of it. I've already put in 230 miles of the tedious and conscientious breaking in process.

Palting,
Go for a "reproduction" sticker front plate of the original front plate and get it screen printed on reflective material, that's what I have on my car. Follows the bumper curve and you (and the cops) will need to look closely (2 feet) to see the difference. Keep the original plate in the boot at all times.
Ciao,
Johannes E.

I actually have a reproduction of a German license plate with my true US license numbers on it for the front of the C4S, Johannes. It's the European long and narrow. I didn't put it on because it seemed more illegal somehow than just not having a plate on. The cop may get more PO'd if I get pulled over for something else and he notes the "fake" plate. Thanks for the advice, though. Pretty creative.
BTW, it's amazing how the 987 sounds like the older air cooled 911's in the cockpit. I drove an air-cooled in the distant past (80's), and the sound in the cockpit reminds me of that car. It could be that the engine and drivetrain being rigtht there on the 987 and the sparse amount of sound insulation on the older 911's combine to make them sound alike.
