Why would anybody buy one of these in fiberglass or carbon fiber? It seems to me that it is in an extremely vulnerable position, and your first off track excursion or tap on a parking stop would ruin the piece irreparably. That is a lot of money to just throw away. What am I missing?

Seriously, all jokes aside. The stability gain adding the lip is worth it especially if you track your car. More downforce. But in CF, I find that outrageous unless I have a sponsor shelling out the dough for that.

They are held on with plastic break away rivets so it really just pops off if put in that situation. Some guys have riveted theirs to the bumper but if that sucker shears of so does part of the bumper. OUCH!

Thanks Dell,

I completely get the idea of the lip, and I know it adds downforce, but my question is about the materials. Isn't the oem one made from very tough plastic? Plastic makes sense due to its durability and inexpensiveness. However, fiberglass and CF seem to weak to me.

Totally agree. The OEM mk2 lip I bought is actually a very flexible plastic unlike the mk1 lip that is a bit firmer. Can't comment on the feel of the TRG one but especially the CF I don't understand.

I think that Dell's set-up looks great, but mine is a bit different. Here is a pic... hopefully you can see the difference...
Any more info on this lip? It looks great!!! Where can I purchase one?

Wow itradem I love that lower spoiler, mines similar to yours besides the bottom lip. Was that piece separate? Where did you get it from? Here's a front pic of mine wondering if that bottom lip would work on mine?

e?
