So I finally got the install done. Here is a link to the thread covering this including pics and part numbers.

Overall, I like it 1000x better than the mk1 lip that went straight down. This one has more character and aesthetically looks better (IMHO).
As for speed impression. Not sure what speed I have to be at to tell the difference but I just ran the car at 110 for a few seconds and then came back home to make sure everything was still secuure, etc.
Worked like a champ, and the front end feels a bit less floaty. With this new lip and my RoWM030 installed a few weeks ago, the car feel incredible. The car is lowered about 17mm in rear and 11 in front. Thanks to the new suspension and lip I have about 2mm of clearnence (OUCH!) left entering my driveway
I'll get some pics this afternoon of 3/4 shots.

FWIW, my fitment came out way different. My lip came from The Racers Group, and was called a Supercip lip. The major difference is that my lip did not need to be trimmed inside the wheel wells, and also extended the full width of the bumper.
I think that Dell's set-up looks great, but mine is a bit different. Here is a pic... hopefully you can see the difference...

question:
how deep is the lip i.e. is it 2" from the bottom of the front bumper?
also what height did you guys (or gals) start with from the ground to the front bumper?
the reason i am asking is that i am at 5 1/2" from the ground to the front bumper (no lip) on my Aerokit 1 996. this might be too little clearance for the street.

Yes, I had to drill holes in a very similar fashion as Dell. In fact, you could follow the directions he posted above. Once you get things lined up using the old lip as a template, things a pretty easy.
