Default hazard switch

Broke my hazard switch by pauling the white part after removing the black button. I was following directions I found on renntech but the switch broke. Anyone know where and how fast I can get a new one? It needs to be fast b/c now the turn signals don't work w/o the hazard switch!

Get some dental floss and tie it around the switch so that the white part is held down. Then put the switch in and the turn signals will work.

What directions were you following? Do you have a link?

I have removed my hazard several times for different hacks and never had a problem. (1) turn hazzards on (2) remove trim piece (3) hazzard will fall right out

Do not pull on the inner white part of the switch since it's the main mechanical part of the switch ( pulling on it WILL break the small plastic flip-flop gate of the switch), instead pull carefully on the outer black sleeve with thin splyer ( even if you break it, the switch would still work!).
your local dealer should have the switch for about $30.00 or you can order online and wait a few days :-(

for now, do what Tool Pants suggest or jamm it with a small piece of tooth pick.
good luck.

Broke mine earlier in the week and jammed a half toothpick in each side of the button (between the button and the surround) to keep it depressed. Don't take the bad switch out until you have a replacement as you will lose your turn signals. Dealer should stock them. Getting mine through the mail from Suncoast - $12 plus ship.

ok guys, this is really stupid. Come to find out that I did not have to remove the switch anyway. Instructions said pull the white part of the switch so I did and it broke...Doh! Already got replacement at my local dealer for $18 which is $7 less than Suncoast and it was in stock and now is aw-betta

BTW..All I was trying to do was replace the hazard surround with AS.

Hey,
It was cheap entertainment...suspense, irritation, pathos, wonder, remorse, and finally relief. And all for only $18! Cheaper than a movie and popcorn for two!
