I bought the aluminum and leather gear shift and to my dismay it has a colored crest. Normally I wouldn't be this ****, but my crest on my steering wheel is silver, the crest on my key is silver as are my wheel centers and hood crest. So...my gear shifter is the ONLY place on my car that has the gold crest.

Do they make the same shifter without the colored crest?

If anybody has one (EXACTLY like mine but without a gold crest) that wants to trade let me know.

Suggestions?

Mine is not a colored crest only a silver crest..... Sorry I got a small nic on the top though..... otherwise I would.

I'm in the same situation. Although the colored crest is so small, it still bothers me....

 

Unless..... you can live with a small nic... .... I planned on taking mine off and doing something custom to it pretty soon.... either way I'll be happy.

The first time I saw a silver crest shift was years ago on a 6 speed Boxster. It might have been for 2000 as the air bag crest for that year was also silver.

Boxster owners would trade with you.

would you sell the carbon fibre centre bezel with the shift pattern - or trade it for my aluminium centre with shift pattern?

Eric, I don't have 1/100 the skill in masking and painting as you! I guess I could paint the damn thing but I ain't going anywhere near it.

It will end up looking like the crap that people keep buying on eBay that looks like it was painted in somebody's baement.

 

No its in the car now, the was the first pic i found in my folder that had the shifter.......I like the carbon shifter , it feels soo good while your yanking the gears.........

 

I'll trade for this one.
