Question Cab Wind Deflector - Worth It?

I have a '99 Cab but do not have the wind deflector. I've seen a few on e-bay for sale and am hesitant about whether to purchase one or not. Are they worth having? Is the difference noticable with vs. without? What's a good price? Thanks for the help.

Very much worth it. With the seat heaters and the wind deflector it's comfortable to cruise with top down when the temp is down to 48 degrees or so - up to triple digit speeds.

It eliminates turbulence in the cabin about 99%, it's worth every penny.

Definitely something you need to have. I don't always use it if I am by myself, but it is nice for my wife as she had long hair and there is absolutely no wind with the deflector up. It also is nice if it is cold outside.

Agree with everyone, you should invest in it. It takes almost no space in trunk when stored and blocks 99% of air around the cockpit with windows up. It's also sturdy.

I've seen some less than $200-300 on eBay. With it, you almost don't need a seat warmer driving in the morning or evening. It also blocks out headlights from car behind you as an added bonus. It's pretty easy to put on once you've done it a couple of times.

I agree with the others. The windscreen is definitely worth it.

My cab is slowly shedding -- the hard top came off last week and the windscreen came on. (It's still a bit chilly so I have to drive with the windows rolled up and the windscreen on.) In a few weeks I hope to take the windscreen off since I actually prefer the wind in my hair.

I was in DC yesterday and the weather was great, I'm looking forward to dropping the top here in NY too.

OK = once again you guys come through with great info and really fast. I'm going to start looking for one immediately.
Mostly it's for the ladys as I don't really care I just toss a baseball cap on and go. The women that ride in the car want the top down but it's the hair thing with all of the turbulence. I'm a giver always thinking of the ladys ya know

Yeah! Tuesday and Wednesday were great. I think we're in for some rain starting Thursday and lasting through Saturday but hopefully that's it.

For those of you considering a trip to D.C., the cherry blossoms along the tidal basin are starting to bloom and will peak in mid-April. It is the best time to visit the nation's capital. I did see some sad news today -- according to a recent survey of the most expensive travel destinations in the 50 states, Washington, D.C. ranked second after Hawaii. NYC was fourth!
