If you guys havent got it already, there is a pretty well written article in may05 issue of Excellence that covers their 840hp 996 turned 9f-v400. great explanation into their development of this car. 20 units available, they have a forsale add on page 125
just wanted to see what your reactions were to this car

That's one hell of a car, is it a GT3 or GT2 derrivitive?
BTW, I've never been able to find Excl magazine, is it avail on line?

Got it yesterday. Haven't had time to read it, but I will this weekend. I read in AutoWeek that the car did something like 241 MPH.

It's interesting to note how much front to rear rake the car has in that photo.

they mention that in the article, playing with the fronty lip they went from 230 to 241hp

Hard to believe they call it a street car with the front lip at 1cm from the tarmac

Tech notes in that issue states the 997 has no oil dipstick! Is that possible? Crazy if you ask me. I still don't trust that cartoon on the dashboard.

Excellence is the only magazine I read cover-to-cover.

Excellence (started out as Gmund) is a great magazine. I've been getting Pano for over 34 years (yikes) and Excellence is now better and definitely more objective... a must for Porsche freaks.

Totally concur. In fact, cover-to-cover many times over each issue to make sure there was nothing missed!
