Default Anybody Use/Recommend Klasse Wax/Sealent?

I am new to Porsche cars. I have a Acrtic Silver exterior. I have had numerous Corvettes and have been using a product called Zaino Brothers for a long time. Very popular w/Corvette enthusiasts. See below if interested.

http://www.zainostore.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc

Anyway, I know German paints are different from American and I am looking for a good wax/sealent, etc. I can always buy McGuires but came across Klasse. Any recomendations?

Thanks,
Adam

You can't go wrong with zaino or Klasse. Most people who use Zaino swear by it I'm surprised your looking for something different.

I really like Zaino but nobody here seems to use it. Never seen it mentioned. Not sure if Klasse (or other products) are better as I have been using Zaino for 7 years! I need to stay current on what's good.

The Klasse sealant can be difficult to use (not the all in one “AIO” product). AIO doesn’t seem to offer the durability of the Zaino. Don’t get too caught up in the “German paints are different” concept. I have successfully used Zaino on every Porsche I have owned with no side effects or down falls.

Thanks guys. www.autopia.org is awesome. Great resource!

Maybe i'll just stick w/Zaino. It still gets great reviews.

I just put some Klasse AIO on today and I think it works well. It can be a little difficult to remove though. I'm following up with Klasse sealer glaze tomorrow. Actually, I've been detailing my car for the past 3 days.

Porter Cable ($100)
Menzerna Twins ( $30)
Klasse AIO ($15)

Perfect Black 996 = (Priceless)

I'll post some pics later.

Tried Zaino on my '99. Used P21S mostly. Was great. But now, on the C4S Cab, I'm using this.

Liked it so much I added it to the lineup!

I only use Zaino on the cars but have used Klasse on the boat and it works great. Zaino is a lot of work and lasts a LONG time. Klasse is better than wax but will require to be applied more than Zaino but as with most things it will depend on the exposure your vehicle takes. If you don't mind a great looking and reflective protection that needs to be applied 1-2 times a year depending on how often it's driven then go with Klasse. If you want absolute showroom finish and keep the vehicle clean constantly then Zaino will give you the best finish but will require more work.

Klasse for easy good looking protection
Zaino for perfection and hard work

Gurureports did a review a while ago. You can't go wrong with Zaino or Klasse. Hopefully next time they will test Rejex.

IMO Klasse is a great product and seems easier to use than Zaino. The problem with Zaino is that it has lots of set up time before you buff off the product and that the paint must be cleaned very well(polished) before you can apply it. Klasse All in One polishes and protects in a one step process. You can actually wait for next week wash to apply the sealant glaze. Many who have problem using it is because you must use very little product and spraying the applicator with some quick detailer makes it easier to use. There are tips at www.properautocare.com. Also at that site they have an article that states the differences between German and Domestic clear coats.
