^ there are some companies and race shops that will make you replicas of the factory aerokits. it might be worth it for u to look into that. I don't think that there are too many kits for the pre-facelift cars.

Default Aero Kits....

I will always encourage those who are contemplating the purchase of those aero kits to go with the front cover and side rockers in polyurethane to prevent cracks… All it takes is one speed bump or one parking stone and your money is flushed!!!!

If you’re interested in a kit for your ride feel free to contact me for all your options…..

Do you have to get a rear spoiler for all the kits you sell? I don't want to screw up the aerodynamics just for looks, but the front and side are a little plain.

You don't have to purchase anything you don't want. I've been told though that if you replace the front spoiler without adding the rear it messes up the AD...

^ yeah, at higher speeds the car won't be as stable (130MPH and on). If you're just going to be posing around own, you don't need the wing, if ur actually going to hit these speeds, then it's advisable.

Eli, do you carry the cupcar wing and decklid assy like for the cars in my sig? Please PM me with price and other info.

Can you post some options for rear spoilers for an 00 C2 Cab? I just don't want a very large wing.

TIA!!

You are limited in the size of wing you can put on the cab because the wing has to clear the convertible top mechanism.

The factory cab wing (shown in Eli's first pic) is too small, IMHO, and looks a bit odd -- it's not wide enough and not tall enough. The Euro RS wing (shown in Eli's second pic) is just shaped weird, again just my opinion. But both do clear the convertible top mechanism.

I got the RUF RGT front bumper and side skirts for my cab. I didn't get the matching wing because it wasn't designed for the cab (too tall). However, depending on how much you want to spend -- and the ability of your bodyshop -- you can have the RUF RGT wing, Cup II (GT2) wing and others modified (basically cut a little bit off the stands/posts) so that it will clear the convertible top mechanism. I may still get the RUF RGT wing and get it modified, I haven't decided yet.

If you don't like the look of the factory cab wings and don't want to go through the hassle of getting the "regular" wing modified then there is good news. A company in California called www.996wings.com has replica wings that are made to fit the cab. Several people in this forum have installed their wings and are happy with them. Check out posts by itzkirb, he has a lot of pictures and details on the wings. I especially like their GT2-style wing (similar to what Kirby got.)

Cheers,

just take out the fuse for the stock tail at the height you want it at and it will stay there... that's what i did with mine and it looks better than any damn wing for the cab.. imho all the wings for the 996 cab look horrible... but it does need "something" there.. so that's what i did what i did.. saved $1,500 as well doing so

in this pic it doesn't really look so good, but it looks really nice from the rear and 3/4 shots, and in person... i didn't do it all the way, that looked tacky.. just raised it up, just enough, to give it a little bit of a wing.. and it stays put.. at 1mph or 100mph...

Eli, I think it's the other way around, if you add a wing then you need to add at least a front splitter. I have the Misha(996wings) GT2 style on mine, without the splitter it was a little squirelly at 135, with the TT splitter, solid as a rock at 155.
BTW, thanks for your help with the spacers, got 'em today!
