Default Help!Alignment problem-SoCAL Recomendation?

Howdy Folks,

I have a reoccuring issue with my alignment and was wondering if anyone could recommend an alignment shop in Los Angeles. About 6 months I ended up doing a 360 and wound up on hitting the curb with my with both my front and rear tires. The impact was pretty brutal.

To make a long story short, I've been to 3 dealers and 5 alignments, but so far nothing has worked! After a while, the car will slowly go out of alignment. I had the car checked and there is no frame damage or misalignment.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance!

Have you checked for bent pieces? I would worry about those first, as even if they don't appear bent they may be. Worse yet you might have bent your frame

I would think that even if things were bent that only thinks that cound move would get you out of allignment. Tie rod ends, struts, etc. If they were able to get the thing alligned and all the related componetnts were good and tight, I don't see how having a bent frame or bent anything would all of a sudden throw it out.

What is going out of specs? Front, back, camber, caster, tow in?

If the mounts were pushed it would throw off the alignment considerably even if the other parts are fine-

Default How bad is it?

How bad is it? Does it look like you're drifting when driving in a straight line?

Fellas,
Thanks so much for the info!!! This board rocks. As for the misalignment, the car will slowly go out of alignment after I get the car back. It typically goes out to the left but, once it went out to the right. Also, the degree of misalignment can get pretty severe if I don't bring it in. In otherwords, the longer I don't get the realignment, the more the misalignment will increase. This is easy to tell by how much the steering wheel is off center.

The car has already been checked for frame damage. Luckly that is not the case! Also the car does NOT feel like it is drifting when I am driving straight. But in order to drive straight, the steering wheel is really off center (i.e. 13-20 degrees).

Finally, thanks so much for the shop recomendation! I will definitely call them next week.

Arling at Lucent Motors I have used. The head mechanic is Tom and he does a great job. They also have the newest alignment equipment.
