Angry Purchase PSE from US?

Hi,

I have made some enquiries and Porsche UK would like to relieve me of £2500 UK pounds to fit the PSE. I just can't justify that much for sound alone!

Would it be cheaper for me to ship from the US and get it independantly fitted? The exhange rate should surely work in my favour a long with the better pricing already available?

Is there much in the way of a second hand market?

Can anyone please help me? :-(

Cheers

Nick

Definitely go for a purchase from either the U.S. or Gert at Carnewal (www.carnewal.com) and fitting it is as easy as pie and I'm sure that your dealer or local independant would be hapy to help.

Try brandywine porsche, I think they have them for $1,500. A quick internet search should give you the contact number...and may want to talk to Justin...I purchased my GT3 seats from them.

I've had PSE on my '02 targa and you'd love it. Try Alon's suggestion of contacting Gert. He's based in Belgium so the shipping might be lower than the States. One other thing, The labour to instal the PSE is pretty expensive as well unless you do what I did. I installed the PSE without the switch in the cockpit. It takes around two hours to go this way, or eight hours with the full install. Also get the '02 and newer PSE as it's a much better sounding exhaust than the earlier version.

Although I am sure that it is the same part you want to be careful - exhausts are usually stamped to show that they conform to the regulations in the country they are going to be used in. Make sure that if you buy in the U.S. that it has all of the stamps for the U.K. or you might find yourself with a headache when the MOT comes due.
Alternatively - find someone with a set of stamps and a hammer...

Hi.
I got my PSE done at Porsche Swindon for about £1200 including labour last year. Have you tried them?
