I just spoke to Dave at ZR1 and he quoted me 3.49 sq.ft before discount.

Are they still connectable if you cut them in order to make them fit within a given space? And how would you cut them.....perhaps Skil Saw or Jig Saw?

Cheers and safe driving.

You only cut the side that doesn't connect to another tile (e.g. where it meets the walls). i used a table saw for long cuts (12") and a band saw for the irregular cuts, but a jig saw would also work. It is very simple, and I would recommend a rubber hammer to speed up the installation. The pieces snap together and form a very tight lock.

Yeah 300 for install--like 15xx all together 19x19 they had to cut pieces for 3 sides so well worth the hassle.

That works out to be $2.70 per square foot, not a bad price.

OH997, in answer to your first question, I live in Annapolis and put down the Armstrong tile this past summer so I experiencing my first winter (what little we have had). So far the tile looks as new as it did when I installed it. When wet floor is slippery, but still less slippery that when it was painted. Installed tile myself (pain in the a--) but doable, took about two weekends. I had entire garge painted gloss white before I started, including concrete footer. Installed white rubber 4" moulding around perimeter when done. I did the whole floor in one color, beige, to match the house exterior color, also installed tile with all grain pattern in same direction. If I had it to do over, I would still install all the same color, but I would alternate the grain patterns to create a checkerboard effect. I do not have any pictures but I can take some if you like.

Thanks Huskydog. Would you be able to let me know exactly which Armstrong tile you used? I stopped at Home Depot and they were pretty clueless.

I am also curious why you painted the floor first. A picture would be great. Thanks again.
