Default Wheel Balancing

I have 18" 5 spoke with Conti sports on my '02 coupe, with about 12K miles on the fronts. I have noticed a slight vibration at speeds over 90+ mph that I may attribute to tire wear and the need to re-balance the fronts. Question is, should I look for a place that has a high speed balancing machine, or just use any regular balancing machine found at most tire/wheel shops. I plan to take them off myself and to the location I end up choosing rather than have them take off my car, as I don't trust their jacks and impact wrenches.

Whatever you decide to do, make sure that you torque them properly when reinstalling (96 pounds). Any competant modern method should be fine as long as they dynamically balance them, not statis balance (an option on mos modern machines). If you're really concerned, you could always find someone who uses a Roadforce balancer that reads the tension that each part of the sidewall registers and makes sure that nothing is out of spec but that's being very, very ****.

Its 96.

I think a pound or two difference is not an issue. I would use 96 lbs though.

find a good wheel shop that can also check it with a "strobe" after the wheel is back on the car.
