Was getting ready to install my fire extinguisher mount and noticed the instructions say you can mount on the drivers or the passenger side. I was thinking drivers side as I am the only one driving the car and it won't get in the way. Is there any other reason why I shouldn't?

I think it's within easy reach on the passenger side, and out of your way as well.

Install it on the passenger side, on the drivers side you will find it to be in your way, easier on the passenger side to reach over to get it as well, just my opinion.

What kind of fire extinguisher did you get and where did you get it? Can you give me some info here because I've been looking for a 2.5 pound Halotron (I hope I said and spelled that correctly) preferably with a polished steel canister and mounting hardware. Any info would be helpful...

Don't mean to butt in but this is the one I mounted on the passenger side. I have factory sport seats with manual fore and aft, and this mount didn't affect that. Very easy for the driver to pop the catches and grab th handle.

jcoduto: I have the exact same mount Don has. It is made by Brey Krause, the one for sale as a group buy on the top of the 996 forum list. I bought mine from OG about 15 days before the group buy started, @#@!#!
