Default Bluetooth Handsfree Install

Has anyone here installed a bluetooth hands free phone kit with the Becker?

I am considering the Parrott CK-3000 or the Nokia CK-7. I would like to know if anyone has installed any of these or would suggest another. I am interested in any echo issues with the microphone or issues using the becker head unit for the sound. I already have the aux in plug for the becker, now just need to select the bluetooth unit. Also, my phone is a Moto V600.

Thanks,

Kris

I have the V600 and the sony ericson HCB- 30 in my TrafficPro. I really like it and put one in our ML350 also. I sometimes get an echo situation on the other end (i dont hear it), it usually happens when I have the volume up too loud. I just turn it down a little and the caller is happy. I think it also depends on where the mike is, (mine is left of the visor). I may try to just use the additional speaker and mount it low.

Bobby,

The phone needs to be "synchronised" with the kit. Therefore a foreign phone will not attach to the kit. If you have two phones that are configured on the kit then first come first serve.

I too have the Sony Ericsson HCB-30 kit on the 911 and we have installed a couple in the guys A4s all work faultlessly

Regards

I would stick with the motorola one here

I am looking to do the same. I also have a traffic pro, but I have an Audiovox SMT5600 phone. I assume a bluetooth kit is a bluetooth kit and does not need to be manufacturer specific? Can anyone confirm?

I have fitted the CK3000 about a year ago. Its brilliant. Works perfectly for me every time. Even with the cab top open. Only thing I can say is that they tend to be phone specific. The recommended phone is the Sony Erricson T681. I had that and it worked fine. Recently I changed the phone to the new Sony Erricson K700i and it works just the same. However my wife has a Nokia and it has problems recognising voice commands. I think it has something to do with the way the phone voice commands are implemented. Also, I threw away the microphone that came with it and bought a better one but I think they are only $20 from Fry's.

Anyway. Highly recommend the CK3000.

i have the nokia bluetooth car kit and i am very happy. i have some echo when volume is very high, so sometimes i have to lower it down.
speaker is mounted on my side and mic near by the roof switch.

nokia bluetooth car kit, works with any mob with blue tooth, but it has first to be configured....so no prob if a friend walks in...

it looks very cool, also works perfectly....no probs so far

I like the HCB-30 because the controller is small enough to put in the ashtray (with some modification ).Very stealthy. And the controller box is small enough to fit behind the dash cubby.

Harris,

Do recall if you had the Nokia CK-7 or CK-1 installed. I don't believe the CK-1 has a line out for the Becker speaker input. I like the install photo. The Nokia and the Parrott also have small control units, so it gives quite a few mounting options. I also like the Parrott CK-3100 with the LCD display, but that limits your mounting options a bit and I am not sure how compatible the phone book is with the Moto phones. I will probably end up going with the Nokia.

Thanks for all you input on this.

Kris

HEY! That is exactly what I did, and the same setup I have. I use the HCB-30 with the Sony Ericsson phone. It works much better than using the ck3000 (which I used to have) or the HCB-30 with a non SonyEricsson phone. It works remarkably well . . .
