![Question](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/icons/icon5.gif)
I have searched the arcives but have not found any useful information on adding heat to the stock seats in a 996. I purchased a 04 C2 preowned. Love everything about my first Porsche but the fact that it dose not have heated seats....Any sugestions would be greatly appreciated. I have found everyone on this forum very friendly and helpfull

Does it have the sport seats or the full power seats? I had the same gripe with my car and learned that if you have the sport seats, I don't think they can be heated. This may have changed from 02.

Check out Renntech.org There is a great thread about retrofitting heated seats (actually contains a link on how to do it...I will see if I can find it). The bottom line is it is not inexpensive nor a simple solution. The biggest problem being the wiring harness for the interior. Porsche uses different harnesses depending on the options for the car. No heated seats means no harness for it. You have to make your own.

I put heaters in my GT3 seats. If that can be done, sport seats or standard seats can be done. You miight have some more work to do to wire the switches in to the controllers (which get mounted under the seat).

It appears the images are missing. They must get deleted after a period of time. If you think they would be helpful, I can dig them up and upload them. I doubt you'd want them though, as they mostly show the mods to the lower element. In addition to the parts I list, you will need the switches, the bat wing, and some more connectors. I think you just scab power off the seat adjustment circuit.

Thanks for the great information. Looks a little more involved then I thought but I may attempt it anyway. The seats are the very stock seats in a C2, but I like them.
