Any good service centers in FL?
I'm living in Gainesville, FL. Basically middle of Orlando, Jacksonville, and Tampa. I just bought a used 2000 996 C2 Cab with 29,xxx miles on it. I'm due for the 30k service. Anyone recommend a Porsche dealership in one of those cities? I've heard Brumos in Jacksonville was good, but then was also told they were horrible by a couple of people.
Thanks for any input.

I have used Reeves in Tampa and Brumos in Jacksonville. Never used the one in G-Ville (it use to be Direct imports or something on 13th). There is also the independant in G-Ville whose name escapes me right now. They are up on Main street in the SE. Kinda near the ABC store.
My street names are fuzzy it's been a while since i loooked at a map

I'll second the recommendation for Reeves in Tampa. They aren't my closest dealer but that's where I take my cars for dealer service (and I bought them there too).

Just wondering what you thought of the service at Brumos...

Looking for the best Porsche dealership in the greater Cleveland area. Contacted Stoddard Porsche about installing B&M short shifter, their response is that the have only done two and one was a complete nightmare and advised against it. With all the positive threads on this forum, their response gave me pause......Thanks for any info

sansan: I have no personal experience with service at Brumos. I do know they're tight with their local Porsche Club of America region, Florida Crown, so membership, if you're not already a PCA member, might help if they're much more convenient.
washington951 is mostly correct regarding Reeves' location but you'd be better off taking I275 when it branches off of I75 (assuming that's your route from Gainesville) then take the Fowler exit and turn right/west. Reeves' Porsche showroom & service department are on the left about 100 yards from the exit. If you reach the traffic light at Fowler and Florida Ave you've gone too far and need to make a U-turn.
