Default Some good talk about 1/4 mile times on 997 board... any actuals here?

I mentioned on the 997 board that the Oct Motor Trend has an '03 C4S running a 12.9 @ 108.7... it was at the end of a 1 yr test...

Does anyone have their own ACTUAL times to post on 99-01 and 02-04 C2 or C4's??? Please don't respond with Porsche quoted times... I can and have read the brochures...

Anyone at or below a 13 with a C2???

John,

I am not asking this question to start some sort of argument about track versus straight line values of a P-car. I am just curious as to how much power these cars gain as they break-in. I haven't had my car to a drag strip yet, so I thought I'd ask the question. I plan to take the car to road courses, but also enjoy the rush of driving fast in a straight line from time to time... in a controlled, legal, and responsible manner...

Most people understand that a P-car excels in the twisties... it shouldn't be taboo to ask some straight line numbers also...

Jeff,
I see your from "chi" Our leader M in C is from Chi town.
we all answer to M in C......he is our leader......we drink....when he tells us to drink...we spin when he tells us to spin......we brake early, when he tells us to brake early.....well you get it.......
Perhaps your team title could be...."I bought a 996, and I now I own it x's two"

Well... I suppose being classified as some sort of ricer must be a right of passage of sorts on this board... all taken in good fun, of course...

If anyone has anything else to add... besides asking me when they might release "Way Too Fast and Super Furious," feel free to chime in... maybe we can get together afterword and look for some street races...

Motortrend tested a 99C2 at 4.7 to 60 and 13.1 in the 1/4... my own personal best on 0-60 was 4.6 but haven't measured the quarter yet....
