Default Market Value of a '99 Cab

My buddy has a '99 996 Cab silver on black w/ 48 K on the clock. He has had it for sale now for 6 weeks. He started at $43,000 and now down to $39,000. He is getting alot of called and test drivers, but no one serious.

Is 39K a decent price or should he go lower. Its in great condition will all records.

I think it's a fair price. He should just keep it if he can't get that much. If I could sell mine for over 40K, I would, but I'd be lucky to get 35K (I have almost 70,000 miles), so I'm gonna keep it for another 5 or 6 years.

FWIW, I just sold my 99 cab with 53k miles for $42,500, car was in great shape, I think the guy got a great deal with hardtop short shifter and Gemballa exhaust.
