I guess I scare the babes away once they see me since I don't seem to attract that kind of attention. However, since I put the new BBS wheels on 10 days ago, I am getting more lookers at the car. Today I had a question from a guy in a Range Rover who was admiring the car, but the best was a 7 or so y/o boy who had his head hanging out of the window for four blocks eyeing my car - I think he's definitely a future rennlister.
Maybe this would be a better babe magnet - if all you guys would just PayPal me a little something, I know I can get a great deal on it:
LOL! That is great! Hey Kirby, the neons will definitely get the ladies' attention but the spinners will seal the deal! I know you just got the BBS rims but I am sure you can sell them on ebay.
This is possible because I sort of have an honest face and live in a very low crime area, I mean I doubt someone would get in my car if I drove through New York City. (What a tool a Porsche would be for a serial killer, too bad for them but good for us that they're usually broke. lol.)
It is amazing how the mind works in some people....
i guess it depends on where you live...i don't get the admirimg looks so much as the offers to race. i was caught-out recently. i remember the front fender of a lifted crewcab pickup that said: gmc duramax diesel with a "banks" logo underneath. i wasn't really tying to race him, but he had a couple of car (truck?) lengths on me when i backed off. i bet the guy told all his buddies he just smoked a porsche 996.
afterwards, i looked up the banks duramx upgrade. it makes 450+ hp and over 850 ft-pounds of torque--no wonder!
Drive a Porsche 911 anywhere near Los Angeles and women (especially attractive ones) will go to great lengths to AVOID looking at you OR your car. The stigma around this marque is NOT good in this town from a woman's perspective...and probably for good reason. Don't you ever notice that all the sleazy, underhanded, low-lifes in the movies drive a Porsche? It's really unfair that such a great car can carry so many negative connotations.
Here in the Washington, D.C. Metro Area (Washington, D.C., Northern Virginia and Maryland) there are so many 996's that my 996 Cab (with the Ruf RGT aerokit) doesn't attract a lot of attention -- except for the ocassional "Awesome car!" from kids who recognize the Ruf RGT from Playstation2 Gran Turismo.

It's funny you mention the Cayenne. I recently had the car in the shop and got a Cayenne S loaner car. Everywhere I drove the Cayenne I got looks from young women and had a couple of them come up and talk to me while filling up at the gas station -- I don't know what is a more blatant display of wealth...the Cayenne or spending $50 for a full tank of gas!!
