Default RejeX (and RMS) Test of Manhood

New 996 Targa. Not broken in yet. No oil leaks yet. RejeX'd last night (including car-color-painted wheels). Wiped well; sitting at least 12 hours as specified. Leaving So Cal today for Cambria, then Big Sur, Monterey, Sequoia, Yosemite Valley, Tuolumne, Mammoth, Rock Creek and then home to LA. Maybe 1000 miles all told, with lots of bugs, dust and tree sap. Stay tuned.

I rejexed all of my vehicles. It rains almost daily and the cars look great. Once the dirt starts accumulating, I give it "one fast one" (gratuitous use of Hawaiian slang) wash job and it looks like I just rejexed it! We'll see how long it lasts in the Kona sun as my wife's Murano & my Tundra are left outside in the weather. So far so good.

Default New 996 Test of Manhood Report: Oil Burn, RMS, REJEX

Road trip turned out to be 1462 miles all told. Started trip with 653 miles on the car two weeks after dealer delivery, therefore 2115 total. (Now broken in )

RejeX caveat: The dealer detailed on receipt of car, then I Carnuba'd after one week, then RejeX'd over Carnuba without any stripping just before trip, as per the above. So the "RejeX" report below is the sum total effect of all of these sequential treatments. As an engineer, I cannot conclude that my results were attributable to RejeX alone.

* Min / Max altitudes: Sea Level + epsilon (California coast) / 10,140 Feet (Rock Creek Lake Mosquito Flats trail head).

* Min / Max temperatures: 36F (Tuolumne + Rock Creek early AM) / 100F (Fresno, etc. late afternoons)

* Min / Max speeds: 10 mph (posted, campgrounds etc.) / 70 MPH (posted, Highway 395, 14, 405, etc.). Heh, Heh, Heh... (Valentine 1 is nice.)

* Min / Max atmospherics: blasting sun (Monterey Historics parking lots, Fresno, Diablo Range, Mono Lake) / Pounding rain and freezing hail (Rock Creek Lake Resort). Lots of bugs. At times a great deal of dust. Unavoidable tree sap.

* Road conditions: a great del of time spent in 2nd and 3rd gear on twisty mountain roads, many of which had serious road hazards and rippled asphalt conditions. Hard to find the right gear and RPM going uphill around curves without lugging or exceeding 4200-5K RPM. Got it into 6th once in a while. Also spent about 6-8 miles going to Hot Creek and Mono Lake South Tufa on washboard gravel roads (at about 3 MPH... ouch).

Net results:

* A total of 0.5 quarts of 0W-40 Mobile 1 consumed over the course of 2115 mile breakin, as measured by both the electronic gauge and the dipstick (versus the level when I took posession from the dealer).

* Zero evidence of any RMS problem so far.

* Targa roof got an an incredible workout both in terms of temperature extremes and body twist and shake. Nothing worse than what I started with. Zero water leaks. Open top a real pleasure in the early mornings on Big Sur and all the various Sierra highways.

* "RejeX" treatment (modulo the caveat above) resulted in an incredibly pleasurable road trip experience. Part way thru the trip we awoke in 36 degree weather to find the car totally dewed. I carefully wiped some of the surfaces (including the front air dam) and the crap came right off with no prob (even the tree sap). Later, after getting hailed and rained on in Rock Creek, I went out with a couple of towels and wiped down the wet whole car (no soap cause we're in a wilderness area). Everything came right off. Used a separate towel for the (wetted) wheels and the dust came off in one stroke. Arriving at home today I went over the car with Meguiar's shampoo and it came totally clean with no effort. Spent time to go over it by hand looking for sap and bug bumps. None that I could detect. I am pretty impressed. Will continue to use RejeX and monitor how it pays off longer term.

Cheers. (And my wife enjoyed the trip as much as I did. She's a trooper!)

Sure nuf'- don't have a scanner here at the house, but:

"RejeX is great! I just wanted to mention that RejeX works like a charm. In the nine months I've owned my car, I have yet to have to wash it. I just wipe it down once a week with detail spray and it's good as new. RejeX is a very good product and I've let people know."

Complete with photo of (I am guessing) your Seal Gray car.

I think any problems you may have with this entire situation will be due to your faulty speedometer!

It needs to be replaced if your max speed read 70 mph!!!!! It has to be broken.

OR... perhaps could you have misread it????

I either use a CA Duster or detail spray and a microfiber cloth to clean the car weekly. It all depends on how dirty the car is. Usually takes me about 15 minutes to clean the car and another 15-20 minutes to clean the rims.

I have about 9000 mile one the car...several track days also.
