Default Cam 1 deviation

Hello everyone I am writing to ask for advice on cam deviation and of knowledge of mechanics in the area of Miramar to Boca Raton Fl. who are experienced in fixing this problem. Yes we have in the past found brown bits of plastic in the oil filter which have stopped and an error code in memory but no check engine light as of yet.

From the above Durametric above image, looks like a 7.2,, so maybe a 2001,2000_ 996.1..? Or does the Durametric list all 996 like that till a more defined querry..?

Ok, you've got a 996.1, 5 chain. Probably in need of actuator pad replacement & o-ring rebuild kit from Hartech.

You're in Coral springs, Tuners RS is on Wiles road in Springs. Might want to ask them if they do Hartech kit actuator rebuilds. The engine will have to come out and that brings up 'other while you're in there' maintenance items that should be done while engine is out. Get your wallet ready....

Not saying Tuners RS is the best place to go, just they are close to you and do know the 996 very well. They have done some good work for me and other friends in the past. They do have mixed reviews so do your due diligence....
Also few good shops in Mia area if you want to travel some. Some Mia shops are very expensive, so diffidently ask first about cost...
