Let me clarify a bit. I’ve actually got the Dr colorchip kit. I’ve used it extensively. However it doesn’t work well for door edge spots that occur when you open your door into something and chip it. That’s why I got this.
so back to the question at hand. Does anyone have any instructions around using this?

If it is only the door edge, lightly sand to smooth the transition between the missing paint and the painted surface and then back-tape it, rolling the tape almost to the edge to allow the paint particles to blend with the existing surface. Mask off most other areas and test the aerosol paint pattern after vigorously shaking the can. Light touch and repeated passes will give better results than heavy passes.
However, since my paint is metallic, I used a small cup to catch the paint from the aerosol can, thinned it out, and placed it into my airbrush to control the air volume and metallic particles. Incidentally, the airbrush can also be a great help to repair all of those soft paint areas I adjusted the hue and chroma from Leather Repair using Artists' Acrylic paints with some flow additives to blend it out, and it worked!
