Default Failure oil level indicator after replacing oil level indicator

I had my engine out to do a manual swap and while it was out I decided to replace a few things because it would be much easier at that time then later down the road, this included the oil level indicator due to its location under the passenger side intake runner. Nothing was wrong with the old indicator before hand. I'm now getting a failure oil level indicator once I turn the car on before I start it up. It does not go away when starting the car. I did some research into this already and some people said the gauge cluster could be the issue and since I did swap at the gauge cluster as part of the manual swap, I put in my old cluster and the problem was still there.

Do I need to make any adaptations in the DME for the new oil level indicator? I may remove the throttle body to see if I can disconnect the plug from the new sensor and plug the old sensor back in but I'm looking for an easy solution if possible.

Thanks in advance!

I have not. It's not urgent just annoying as it is the last thing from my manual swap.

Calling @e30rapidic -- he's done a manual swap and may have insights.

I’m pretty sure this has nothing to do with the swap. And e30rapidic helped me a bunch with the swap.
