Through an unfortunate series of events, I have found it necessary to purchase a replacement console. When transferring all the clips and fasteners, I noticed that there is some material glued in around the center part of the console - some kind of insulation for heat or sound. The top layer is a cloth weave over a self-adhesive thicker layer and about 1/16" thick. I don't see any reference for it anywhere so I don't know a part number or if it's just another piece of unobtainium. The question is - do I need to worry about it or should I replace it with something like a something thin like this 3mm Damplifier Pro? Thanks.
