Hello everyone,
I hope that everyone is doing great. i need some confirmation regarding 996 auto transmission as i am in need of 1 transmission assembly for 1999 carrera 4 .
I understand that the type is A9630 for my car( as it is in sticker/ plate) .
I found one transmission but it is A9635( probably it is for post 2002 996), guys i need confirmation if it can be fixed without any need of modification in 1999 carrera 4 model.
please guide me if possible.

No, it will not work ...

996.1 uses the ZF 5HP19 trans and 996.2 uses the Mercedes 722 trans......... Too many things are different to make it feasible.......
