Default Windscreen help please

For father's day my wife bought me a windscreen for my '03 C2 Cab...incredibly it came without instructions and despite several calls to the dealer I have been unable to get a set (it's ridiculous!). They keep saying I need to come into the dealer and have it installed...which is outrageous and far too time consuming.

I fiddled with it and was able to get it to work by:

1. Lowering the rear seats and inserting the tabs just under the top of the seats
2. Insterting the spring loaded tabs into the holes behind the front seats.

So this seems right but I am still nervous and don't want to cause damage. Is this the correct installation procedure? Can I put the top up with the screen installed? Any other help is very much appreciated!

Thanks!

Can you lift 1/2 of the windscreen up into a "L" position without any problems? You should be good to go. Top up or down should not matter but if you are concerned, watch what you are doing and release the top up/down button during operation if anything looks wrong. The top will stop operation where ever it is at when you release the button.

You have done it correctly. You will feel some tension as you lift it into the vertical position. It will snap into place at the full vertical position and the tension is what keeps it upright in the wind. The top should also work regardless of whether the windstop is installed.

there is a boss between the rear seats that fits into a recess in the wind screen in the rear, center at the fold. When you set the rear tabs into the slots, make sure the rear center support is properly aligned on this boss

Then you are good to go. The soft top can be raised and lowered with the wind screen in place, up or down. Nothing interferes.

That's pretty much it. Watch when people get in the passenger seat that they don't move the seat too far back as it will hit the windscreen.

There are simple instructions in your owners manual

Bob...I never even thought to look in the owner's manual. You would think the dealer would have mentioned it. Thanks!!
