Default Brake pads that produce less dust?

I have a 01 Cab with the Sport Classic Wheels and its just a PITA to get all the brake dust off the wheels. Is there any aftermarket pads that will produce less brake dust?

I don't track the car - just street driving....

Thanks in advance,
Will

Try Rejex. Search forum for details, or get 5 spoke wheels.

I got the rejex on the wheels also...and yes I could get new wheels...but I'm thinking that changing the pads may be a more cost effective approach...unless there isn't a pad that produces less brake dust?

Wash them with soap and water every week. Buy a washmitt to wash only your wheels and wheel wells with. Simple palmolive dishwashing liquid works great with a warm bucket of water. You can wash your tires with the washmitt, too. Basically you need to keep them clean every week so that they do not "cake" up.
It amazes me how many expensive cars are driving around with filthy black wheels.

I replaced the factory pads on my M3 with Axxis Ultimates because of excessive break dust. My 996 is not as bad as the M3. I do remove the wheels at least once for a thorough cleaning.

I would suggest you stay away from EBC Greens. The Porsche is too heavy for them. Try the Axxis Ultimates, and maybe the Performance Friction Zs (if they make them for 996s)

I don't understand. With my '04 there is no brake dust. The rims carry 2 coats of Rejex which helps but we live on salt water and there's always a sticky residue that grabs whatever dust get's near it.

Axis did the job on our BMW but on your P I'd try another coat of Rejex or see if you can find out if the new P pads shed less dust.
