vibration at 4000rpm after changing water pump
Hey guys
I've got a vibration @ 4000 rpm after changing my water pump on my 2001 C2 cab. Vrbates right at 4k and goes away around 4250.
It's quite tight in there so i also removed the exhaust pipes in addition to the usual removals and loosened parts.
Replaced the 996-111-220-02 clamps while in there.
Of course, it's so loud listening at the rear of the car at 4k rpm I can't tell what's vibrating.
hoping some have run into this before and can share a common part that can vibrate if not buttoned up correctly.

Maybe you have a defective pump…

What type of water pump was installed? Agree with above ^ . I would just buy a new serpentine belt and while changing it out check all the pulleys, water pump, PS pump, alternator and so on...
