I'm a newcomer, proud owner of a (new to me) '03 C2 Coupe 6MT in Orient Red w/ 38K miles, picked up last august and having a blast with it!
This past weekend I did some preventative maintenance, replacing the water pump, thermostat, and engine mounts. Everything as far as I could tell was original from 2002-03. Despite some of the doom and gloom in this subform, I'm happy to share that my original composite water pump impeller was completely intact after 20+ years in-service. This is not to say don't do the preventative maintenance and take advantage of the great knowledge that has been built up on this platform, but don't let some pending maintenance take away from the enjoyment of these great cars.
Welcome. Car looks great. Yep, doesn't take much to keep the cars running strong on the street and track. Just a couple of fresh parts and plenty of clean oil.
AWSOME! That red is hot. These cars are such a blast. I can't quit grinning even an hour after I parked her !
I just picked up my car from indy for it's annual oil change. He was upset that the oil still looked sooo good but I said change it anyways. I was so busy last summer that I only put 600 miles on her since last oil change in June. At least he/I get a good look at the filter and make sure no debris in the oil
