Default Nav System, NVA-N751A

Hi

I recently purchased a '99 C2. It came equipped with an Alpine navigation system, NVA-N751A. I have no need for the system, and am thinking of removing it. Is there a market for these where I can sell it?

Thanks

A related question. The '99 C2 that I bought came with the Alpine navigation system with a (TME M00-65A) display mounted under the dash just in front of the shifter. I am told this is an aftermarket installation.

When I moved the display to install a B&M short shift kit, I found that whatever was there originally had been hacked and hewed so the display would fit in. I have no need for the nav system as I much prefer using maps (when I get lost). I want to remove it and replace it with whatever went there originally.

Any idea what part(s) would go in there?

Here's a pic of a plain '99 996 consol. What parts were "hacked up" on yours?

That whole section with slots (cupholders?) and cubby-hole. Looks like the skeleton that was left behind. I'm going to assume it's an available part to put back in when I take the nav system out!!!!

The top holds CDs (4 of them) and the cubby-hole holds whatever. That's the original configuration but you can put whatever you want in there. For example, I replaced the CD holder with a police scanner. If you want to bring it back to how it was, your best bet is to purchase the parts from a dismantler. Here are two you can try:

http://www.partsheaven.com

I recommend trying the latter first. If they don't have it, then the former, and then eBay, and then lastly a dealer. That is of course, unless money is not a big issue.
