Default Oil filter materials

Bought my 996 C2 with 87k miles, have added another 3k since purchase. I had the tensioner pad in Bank 1 (whichever Bank is easier to get to)

replaced because the cam deviation was bad, over 14 degrees, which fixed the issue. Just changed the oil for the first time and found a couple shiny specs and other crusty pieces (pictured). You guys recognize any of this stuff? Has me freaked out a bit if this is a lot of metal. Maybe it's from the cam deviation being off and is now fixed? I'm planning to rub another 1k miles and pull the filter to see if more shiny stuff turns up. Car has been running great, so I'm a bit confused, considering the shiny metal and other crap in the oil filter....

There is nothing to worry about.....yet.....the little bit of stuff you can see is waaaay better than a whole lot of stuff you can't see.......Send an oil sample to the Lab for $35 so you can sleep at night,,,and be happy !!
