Angry 40th missing a third radiator

The 40th Anniversary 911 comes standard with the power kit, which according to my research includes a third radiator. Guess what's not under the grill in the middle of the turbo bumper? The local Porsche dealer has another 40th on the lot and I had my salesman check under the bumper and it also does not have a third radiator.

Fellow 40th Anniversary owners need to look for their third radiator.

Power kit owners. Do you have a third radiator? Did anything change in 2004?

Did Porsche conclude that the M96-03 motor did not need a third radiator with the X-51 kit and fail to inform anyone? Tomorrow I will check my engine serial number with Porsche NA to see if it is a standard C2 motor or a 345 hp motor.

I added the x51 package to a 3.6L. As I recall the third radiator was optional. I passed since I had already added one.

I have read in "Excellence Was Expected" that engine cooling is improved on the C4S nose enough that it doesn't need the third radiator. The 40th shares the same basic nose. But TTs have the third radiator, and I'm sure the GT3 does too, go figure.

DJ996 is correct the C4S does not get a 3rd radiator with an X51 package. As a matter of fact it is specifically called out in the X51 install instructions that C4S does NOT get the 3rd radiator.

Probably doesn't need one. My auxillary fan in the engine compartment never runs either. Even at 108 degrees outside temp. The ones in my Turbo used to run all the time when I parked it.

Thanks for the rapid response! I suspected the same after seeing that the dealer's other 40th had no center radiator. I'm going have to speak to the service manager at the dealership again. He told me yesterday that I should have a third radiator. It will be interesting to see where this leads.
