Default 996 AOS pipework

I’m feeling very stupid, but I’m nearing the end of replacing the AOS in situ on my 2002 C4 996, and there are 2 lines which I can’t find where they reattach to. They are shown in the pic with bolts in the ends of them where I plugged them when disconnecting them a while ago. The line on the left is from the small nipple with the right angle bend at the very top of the AOS, the one on right is “T”’d from the water pipe at the bottom.

There is lots of helpful advice on the forums about the AOS, I wish I had read them all, making slim 10mm spinners and flexi sockets eventually got me there,…. But the last bolt on the inlet manifold took many hours !! My advice for anyone is to read as many of the different threads and videos on you tube as you can, and remove the expansion tank to give a little more room. I also found a boroscope invaluable.

anyway, if anyone more experienced than me can point out where there 2 lines fit, that would be very helpful…I wish I had labelled them but it seemed obvious on dismantling.

Thankyou in advance, and thanks for all the great posts I’ve read so far.

Near as I can tell, you have an extra hose. Here's mine (before I installed the UAOS) when I was replacing O2 sensors.

The one on the left, pointing straight down - I think should connect on the left molded hose - where the one going right/left is connected. Then the one running right/left - not sure where that one goes.
