Default Maximum engine operating hours #?

Is there a max number that the DME can record engine operating hours up to? It hasn’t changed in the last 500 miles, and I have an over-rev beyond the “current” hours recorded.
I have zero issues with the engine, but find it curious.

Since the number is so close in appearance to 65536 which is the highest number of discrete steps (of 0.1 hours) you can achieve with a 16 bit long 'word' I'd say Yes, there is a maximum and you have reached it. However, I do not know if that is actually the case.
Strange that your total hours is 0.1h less than the latest entry of range 1 ignition events. Perhaps that's indicative of something else causing your total hours not increasing.

Another post referred to the max over revs also being 65536. So hours also makes sense.

Well that would be unfortunate if true. I’m not doubting that the engine has that many hours since I’m at 235K miles. It was showing 6461 hours at 217K miles in May 2020.
