Default Another PCCM+ install thread - PCM 2.0 --> PCCM+

I recently received my PCCM+ from Delaware Porsche Parts (no affiliation) and plan to forge ahead with a DYI install on my '04 C4s that I acquired in July of last year. I have done much scouring of the PCCM+ install posts and due to our wonderful internet, I am seeing a lot of competing stories on the simplicity of going from PCM 2.0 with Bose to PCCM+. I have read a lot about how this conversion is "Plug and Play". To me that means opening everything up, disconnecting wires from PCM 2.0, and putting the color coordinated wires into the color coordinated receptacles on the PCCM+ that are an exact match. I also have a 6 disc remote CD changer in my frunk that I wouldn't mind removing to go into a box and collect dust until the next owner acquires my car (if it has to stay i'll deal, though).

-When I remove the PCM 2.0, will all of the wiring connected into it be re-inserted into the PCCM+? If not, please advise what will be used and what won't be used.
-What's this I hear about a MOST conversion box or something that attaches to the PCCM+? I thought I have MOST already since I'm starting with an '04 Bose PCM 2.0 unit. relevant?
-Since there is probably a wire for the remote CD changer, which one is it and I assume that should not be plugged into the PCCM+?
-I have heard conflicting reports on the need for a ground wire, do I need a ground wire and/or does one already come with the kit? If yes, where is the easiest location to attach the ground wire.
-Have read a lot about the Carplay/USB box having a very short Cord. I want to mount this in the glovebox, which I have read is possible. Are there any tricks to doing this and what openings am I utilizing (or creating) to get the wiring to the PCCM+
-Bonus Points - My central air vent above the cupholder is crooked for some reason, when I have everything torn apart, will re-aligning that be a simple fix? I don't know what made it askew in the first place, was that way when I acquired the car. I am hoping the worst case scenario is I have to buy a new part and replace it, please correct me if I'm wrong

If anyone has an install instruction guide specifically tailored to going from PCM 2.0 with Bose to PCCM+ that would also be appreciated... I haven't found a detailed one yet, just a lot of people saying it's "plug and play", and a few more people saying they had issues even though it is supposed to be "plug and play"

Many thanks to any help from fellow RL's as always.
