Default Need Ignition Switch Replacement Instructions

Hi,

The electrical portion of my ignition switch needs replacement. I tried to replace it from under the dash but wasn't successful due to lack of room and not being able to remove the switch. I see what I have to replace, but don't know how to get it out from underneath the dash. Now my key won't even go into the ignition.

Searching the forum, I couldn't find the detailed instructions. I know simular post have been submitted and this is suppose to be a 5 minute job.

Is there a way to remove the whole assembly from the front and make the replacement? What's the secret to the 5 minute job?

Also tried to remove the AC side vent but no luck there.

Striking out big time, and my pc is sitting in the garage not very happy, nor am I. I really don't want to have to tow my car to my shop if I can do this myself.

Thanks for any information.
