Question Options help

Hello everyone. After months of lurking around at the various Porsche forums and several trips to the local dealer, I have decided to "take the plunge" and order an 04 C4S Cabriolet. My tentative list of options include:
1. Midnight Blue
2. Metropol Blue top
3. Graphite Gray interior
4. Advanced Technic package
5. Tiptronic S
6. Supple Leather
7. Stainless Steel Exhaust Pipes (x54)
8. Aluminum Shifter/Brake
9. Clothes Hook Backrest Leather (CVY)
10. Steering Column Covered in Interior Leather (XNS)

Question? Does anyone have a 996 with either the CVY or XNS options? any pictures? any thoughts?
Thanks in advance

If you are getting a Cab, don't forget heated seats. They are a must have, even if you live in the south!

also consider bi-xeon lights and sport exhaust.

Consider PSM, if it doesn't come with the Technic Pkg.....it can be a car saver!!!!

Thanks. heated seats and bi-xenon lights are part of the advance technic package. PSM is standard on C4S. Thought about sport exhaust but decided to pass at present, i may do that in future.

If you are getting the graphite grey then you are going to want the steering column in leather. Otherwise the steering column will be black.

You can't get the Y06 aluminum break handle with Tiptronic.

Otherwise looks like a nicely, but not overly optioned car. For $220 I like the crest in the headrest and I also have the crest on the center console.

The advantage of getting Sport Exhaust from the factory is that it comes with the dash switch which allows you to turn it off. When you drive with your significant other or need to make a phone call, you can turn it off. When you want to have fun and really enjoy the car, you can turn it on. To get it installed after you take delivery of the car you have to either: have it installed without the switch or pay $1,000 for installation. If you have the switch installed afterwards, they will have to tear out your seats and carpet, run the wires and then reinstall everything. (I was quoted 8 hours labor.)

I asked Gert at Carnewal about getting it from the factory or adding it later. He strongly recommended getting it from the factory, and I am glad I did.

Have you thought about sport seats? Sit in one verus the regular seat and see what you think...you may change your mind.
Tho it gets a bit pricey, you might consider cancelling the supple leather (as stated above, they dont wear that well) and get more leather in the interior, dash, seat backs, blah blah blah.
I'd also agree with PSE, if you think you may want it in the future, get it now....
Sounds like a beautiful ride, good luck and post pics when you get her...

What about Carbon Fiber - It looks really nice on the steering wheel, shifter and brake. You can also get the center console in CF, or you can get it painted to match the exterior of the car...

PSE (Porsche sport exhaust) is an absolute must. If you think you might want to add it later and have the switch functionality, then get it now, because later it will cost more, and they have to take apart a good deal of the interior which will surely introduce squeaks/rattles. I have PSE--just mufflers--and wouldn't ever think of needing the switch, but some people want it. If you don't want the switch functionality, get just the mufflers installed later for less.

Power seats are nice--you get the memory function, plus the passenger mirror tilt down on reverse.

The storage compartment lid with either the Porsche crest or the Carrera logo is nice, and apparently you can't order that later. Porsche crests on the headrests are a nice touch as well.

I'd definitely pass on the supple leather--it looks smashed down after a short while. I bought my first Carrera off a dealer lot and it had supple, and I didn't like it.

good choices, very similar to how I ordered my C4S. Personally, I love the supple leather, it makes the interior look much more luxuious.

Have you considered the 6 speed?
