Default 997 parking brake in a 996

I've got the graphite grey interior, and my parking brake has really taken a beating over the years, so I'm considering replacing it. Will a 997 handbrake bolt up and work with the cables? I don't have the center console in, so I'm not concerned about it fitting in that.

That's a good question. Is it a 997.1 or 997.2?
A .1 model may work.

Haven't purchased one yet, but eyeballing pictures of the .1 seems like things are generally the same, as is the case with many parts between the two.

I'd give one of the part resellers a call to confirm. Hell even call Porsche. Just don't give them a credit card.
