lost radio code
need code to a becker traffic pro which is in my 2000 996 can anybody help?

Slightly off topic, but what radios actually require codes? I know my CDR220 did in my Boxster, but I read that at some stage they did away with the codes. I am not sure if that is accurate or not, and don't recall where I read it. My current car has a original PCCM and am not sure if it requires a code or not.
