Default Window Tinting Style?

Hi-
I recently purchased a nice 99 C-2 in Silver.
I live in the heat of Texas and would like to get the windows tinted. Do most Porsche owners tint their windows or is this frowned upon?
Also, tinting is available in dark grey or a mirror "reflective" color. I kind of thought the reflective tint might look nice with the silver paint.
Any opinions or suggestions?
Thanks!

I'm sure there are tint shops on every corner in Texas. You should stop in and see their jobs and choice of tint products. I have done all my cars for years. The very best I have ever had is called Formula 1. They have a dealer in most large cities. Next is Llumar. Thats what I have on my new car. It really helps all around in hot climates. Dont delay and get them tinted while the car is new. The quality and lonjevity will be determined by the ability of the tinitr. Pick one who does cars for your porsche dealer. They should have a known reputation.

i have formula one. they did a great job - and the rear hatch on a 951 is a tough one. had it done 4 years ago when i lived in atlanta and it still looks perfect.

I had a Onyx 35 job done. I don't know how ghetto or elegant this product is but it looks decent. I can't really tell on the relatively dark slate grey color. Get the tint; it helps to protect your leather interior and in the situations that you want your identity.

I did Huper Optik Ceramic, specifically for the heat - I park outside at work in San Jose. Not reflective. Charcoal gray. Looks great on a black car, and does a great job cutting down the heat. The ceramic is a classy look, and cuts down a lot more heat for the same tint shade. A bit pricey though.

$450 + tax for rear and sides (everything but the windshield).

Huper Optik here also!
Since here in CA it's not legal to tint your front two windows I had them do 50% all around.
