I would like to be on the list for a black one too! I have the Porsche ashtray delete pictured above with two "blank" switches. Would be nice to have a little larger storage with no blanks. I like the idea of relocating the heater switches (with the different orientation), How hard was it to relocate them? Did you just add some wire from the current location in the center?
It really isn't anything difficult. If your lucky, you may have enough slack in the harness to reroute the wires to the new location. If not, then you will need to extend the wires by adding more length. Easy stuff.
Thanks for messaging, I do owe everyone an update. The project is complete, I do have a prototype manufactured with final material PA12. Below I'm attaching detailed pictures. As this is just a hobby for me it never gets big chunks of time. While I was getting ready to get bigger run of prototypes so I can send to you guys for test, baby decided to show up ahead of schedule, so as many of you can expect everything else got deprioritized. I will get back on it. I'm in talks with manufacturing company (today) about finishes/smoothness, colors etc. I'll keep you posted with any updates.
