Some 09/98 cars (probably built first four days of that month) may have had amber lenses, which means they would have been assembled (with 993’s) in a different factory than the later 996’s

If your car is amber-lenses that could explain the discrepancy in logo placements (??)

We would please like to know definitively if your car had amber lenses, or at least the last four digits of your VIN? Thanks!!

Similar production variations exist in other P-car models going all the way back to the beginning.

Hi everyone. Hope this helps:
"IF" you have the division line in the middle.

996.559.237.10 Carrera silver lower

Position logo Carrera with the dimensions A and C Carrera logo dimension 129.6 mm+/−1 mm and B Carrera logo dimension 45 mm−1 mm and stick on lid.
