Nice 70 degree day here in Colorado so it was no contest as to which car to drive to work!

I'll be honest, this is not close to the car I was shopping for (really wanted a cheaper .1 in a more "normal" color to do dumb mods on) but this interior and the meridian exterior has really grown on me. I just happened on the right deal for what I think is a good car (maintenance/ownership/build wise).

so now instead of coilovers and volks I'm more focused on replacing all the crappy broken light wood with poverty spec black plastic. although I may go back and repaint some things (like radio surround) in cinnamon so there isn't as much contrast, as I think its a bit jarring TBH

There is only ever one first.... and I’ve got the clone cause not available in the US.

This car defines Porsche modern history for me

Check out Chris Harris's podcast chat with Andy! They talk a good bit early in the episode on 996.1 and 996.2 GT3's creation.

That was a really good one. It was fun to listen to it while driving my 996! I had no clue that the first really thought out GT3 was actually the 996.2 variant. As Andy put it, 996.1 GT3 was more of a skunkworks parts bin special that was really good but left lots on the table in terms of improvement.

Its simply called progress. Porsche doesn’t make anything by accident. First year, new design, first water cooled,. Clean slate.

My 4th in 6 weeks. I've got problems! But a 996 isn't one This is a Glacier / Black 1999, 3/98 build. Should arrive this weekend.
