I read this today on BAT in a Boxster listing:
The window not popping down a bit upon door opening is a common issue and all you have to do is reset the window regulator for travel. Just hold down the window up switch once you roll the window up all the way for 10 seconds and it will reset and be fine. Other than it happening more than it should be, it’s not a problem.
Would it work for a 2000 911 C2?
TIA

Well...yeah...you can try that. Hold the window up switch and continue to hold it for 10 seconds. Then do the same for window down switch, lower window and continue to hold the switch down for 10 seconds. That resets the upper and lower window limits. BUT, usually not having the window drop when opening and closing the door is more times than most the door latch mechanism with its many microswitches inside.

I replaced the window regulator in my 996 and the auto up hasn't worked since
I've tried holding the button when it's lowered and raised
